Incredibles 2 – Film Review

Following a 14 year wait, the sequel to The Incredibles hit cinema screens this summer! Being a massive fan of the first film, I highly anticipated the release of the sequel.

The film picks up from the ending of the first, with the family all fighting together against the Underminer as he attacks the city. The fallout from this leads to more backlash against all superheroes.

However Winston Deavor, owner over a technology company, and a superhero fan, wants to bring back superheroes. Along with the help of his sister Evelyn, he manages to convince Frozone, Mr Incredible and Elastigirl to lead the campaign to make superheros legal again.

This time we get to see the roles reversed; as Elastigirl fights new villain Screenslaver, Mr Incredible becomes a stay at home dad. From this we see a lot of Elastigirl in action as well as all three children coming into their own. However when events unreal it’s up to all three kids to use their powers and to say their parents as well as the city.

With a return of favourite characters (especially Edna Mode!), and the development of the children’s powers, Jack Jack’s in particular, this feel is perfectly funny mixed with the right amount of nostalgia.

This is a great summer holidays film for kids and adults alike!

What other blockbusters are you enjoying right now?
